Who’s sick? Datsik! And he is making his way back to the Bourbon Theater on Wednesday February 25th. If you missed the last Datsik show in 2012, you will get the pleasure of enjoying his face-melting bass next week. The Bourbon Theater is just one of his many stops on his Ninja Nation Tour which already has 8 sold out shows. Along with Datsik you get to run the trap with Kennedy Jones, get some drum and bass love from Fox Stevenson, and get a dose of some dirty dubstep with Twine.
Datsik’s music is described as “dirty, dark, and robotic” and is influenced by hip-hop beats and loads of heavy bass. In 2009, Excision and Datsik collaborated on their first single together “Swagga”, and had a total of ten number one releases on Beatport that same year. Since then he has collaborated with artists such as The Crystal Method, Wu-Tang Clan, and Diplo. Datsik has also made festival appearances this past year at EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo Festival, Summerset, Bass Camp, Spring Awakening, as well as countless other electronic music festivals.
The 26 year old Canadian Troy Beetles created his own record label, Firepower Records, in 2012. Popular signed artists with Firepower Records include Terravita, Antiserum, Protohype, Bear Grillz, and MUST DIE!. Datsik’s latest album Down 4 My Ninjas just released last November, you can guarantee to hear all new music at this show that will melt your face with heavy bass.
The show at the Borubon Theater starts at 8PM on Wednesday February 25th, and is 18 and over. Tickets for this bass filled evening are $25 in advance and $28 on the day of the show. You can get your hands on tickets at the Bourbon Theater box office, G & G Smoke Shop in Lincoln, Illuzion Glass Galleries in Omaha, and are also available online at Etix.com. You do not want to miss out on this event!
MUCH LOVE – Stella
